This is an important novel that tells the stories of people often not represented in literature. I love all the Melbourne references and humour.

But these storytellers were breathtaking.Sunlight through the tall windows warmed the room as we chatted, laughed, and shared heartfelt pieces. ✍️Writers talk about keeping a story 'real,' but what if the story involves a home robbery and a policeman finding a female pleasure device on the front lawn?💥This sassy tale came up during an online author chat/writing workshop with the Pascoe Vale gals book club, Melbourne. After some laughter, we discussed the fear of sharing words from vulnerable places. These book-addicts, well-versed in good storytelling, surprised themselves with just ten minutes to write (and less time to worry):✨"The framed photo of my grandma in the hallway. I look for the dreams in her. The history of women before her.
