✍️Writers talk about keeping a story 'real,' but what if the story involves a home robbery and a policeman finding a female pleasure device on the front lawn?💥This sassy tale came up during an online author chat/writing workshop with the Pascoe Vale gals book club, Melbourne. After some laughter, we discussed the fear of sharing words from vulnerable places. These book-addicts, well-versed in good storytelling, surprised themselves with just ten minutes to write (and less time to worry):✨"The framed photo of my grandma in the hallway. At the @radiusarthepburn in Daylesford for the @wordsinwinter Writer's Festival (Sunday), we delivered a panel re humour and storytelling. Justine also performed a brilliant stand-up set comparing dating to buying property. 8 million dollars raised over 30 years...😮 These magnificent women (and a few men folk) from the GV hospice op shop Shepparton devote time, hard work and love so that people who need palliative care are provided with round the clock support with no costs. A special high tea was served (with gorgeous table displays from op shop goodies like old china and fabrics). Mum enjoyed seeing old friends and the tributes to others, tales of colourful op shop dramas a la 'disappearing' items!
